This course is for the new AutoCAD user. It provides a solid foundation in drawing and editing fundamentals, drawing automation techniques, viewing, layers, and dimensioning. You will gain the skills and proficiency you need to produce quality production drawings. Pre-requisites are only a basic understanding of Windows and a drafting and/or design background. (3 days)
This course is for the new and/or occasional AutoCAD user. It provides a solid foundation in drawing and editing fundamentals, drawing automation techniques, viewing, layers, and dimensioning, but does not get into the depth that the full AutoCAD intro (100) does. You will gain the skills and proficiency you need to produce design sketches and basic production drawings. Pre-requisites are only a basic understanding of Windows and a drafting and/or design background. (3 days)
This course introduces the new features of AutoCAD 2009 to existing AutoCAD users. Among the many changes in this new release, the primary methods for selecting command tools are now the Ribbon and the Menu Browser. Although toolbars and typed commands still exist, even the most experienced users should find that the Ribbon and Menu Browser provide easy access to the most commonly used tools. There are many other enhancements to the interface including the Quick Access Toolbar, icons and new commands in the Status Bar, and updated tooltips.
This is primarily designed for those users who have AutoCAD Architecture, but have not been able to integrate it into their AutoCAD environment. The course takes a modular approach starting with the basics and moving towards the potential of creating a full building model. Topics covered include proper use of AutoCAD Architecture objects, using the display functions, managing projects with project navigator and sheet manager and creating custom objects. By the end of the course, users will have a basic understanding of how the software can be integrated into an AutoCAD-based office. (2 days)
This course is for the experienced AutoCAD user. You will gain skills in such areas as: Advanced Text Objects, Working with Tables, Advanced Annotation, Dynamic Blocks, Attributes, Advanced Block Attributes, Managing Layers CAD Standards, System Setup and much more. (3 Days)
AutoCAD MEP is a 4 day training course. Day One: Project and Tools Essentials Day Two: AutoCAD MEP 2009 Plumbing Day Three: AutoCAD MEP 2009 Piping Day Four: AutoCAD MEP 2009 Electrical.
Learn the fundamentals of AutoCAD Map 3D 2010 as well as, hands-on exercises, how to create, edit, manage, and analyze mapping data. After completing this class, users will be able to: - Describe the AutoCAD Map 3D user interface. - Create and edit geometry. - Link and manage drawing-based attribute data. - Use object classification. - Import and export drawing-based data. - Work with raster images. - Work with source drawings. - Use source drawing queries. - Stylize drawings. - Use topology and spatial analysis. - Plot maps. (3 Days)
Learn the geospatial fundamentals of AutoCAD Map 3D 2010 as well as, through hands-on exercises, how to create, edit, manage, and analyze geospatial data such as SDF or SHP files. After completing this class, users will be able to: - Establish a geospatial environment. - Edit geospatial features. - Manage geospatial features using buffers and Bulk Copy. - Use workflows to automate geospatial processes. - Use job processes to solve geospatial problems. (2 days)
This hands-on foundation-level course covers the essentials of Autodesk Civil 3D. Your instructor will teach you how to work with point data in AutoCAD Civil 3D, how to create and analyze a surface, how to develop a site, how to model roads and corridors, and how to import and export data. This course is designed to teach essential AutoCAD Civil 3D concepts and applications over a three-day period. (3 days)
In this introduction to Revit Architecture, Pacific Alliance leverages our extensive Revit implementation experience to help users become capable with the software as quickly and seamlessly as possible. The first day consists of an overview of the software and introduction to key terms and concepts. The second and third days cover conceptual design with massing, the use of Revit's wide range of components, and project setup strategy. Students learn both the modeling and the documentation capabilities of Revit through extensive use of walls, editing functions, dimensioning and annotation. In addition, the utilization of Revit's method of detailing is covered. By the end of the 3 days, the student will have the skills to work on a real world project in Revit from building design through construction documentation. Part of day 3 can be customized to your specific project needs. (3 days)
Students learn a wide range of advanced topics in Revit Architecture 2010, building on the concepts introduced in the Revit Essentials 2009 course. Students learn about site design, advanced rendering techniques, phasing and design options, creating families of custom components, and collaborating on a design. This course offers both imperial and metric hands-on exercises representing real-world design scenarios.(2 days) (2 days)
This course for new Revit Structure users covers the basics from structural modeling, detailing, preparing the analytical model for export to analysis packages and creating custom structural components. It provides a solid foundation in navigating the user interface, setting up structural projects and interfacing with architectural designs and analytical software packages. No previous CAD experience is necessary; however, basic knowledge of drafting and/or structural engineering is recommended. (3 days)
Students learn a wide range of advanced topics in Revit Structure 2010, building on the concepts introduced in the Revit Structure Essentials 2010 course. Hands-on exercises teach students about detailing and detail components, rebar, families, analytical analysis, as well as how to collaborate on a design with other professionals. This course offers both imperial and metric hands-on exercises representing real-world design scenarios. (2 days)
This course is for the new Revit MEP User. In this course students use Revit MEP to model Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Students learn the recommended workflows and basic skills required to navigate Revit MEP and use its tools to create, modify and analyze MEP systems. By completing this course students will be able to produce a building information model of a commercial design for mechanical and electrical systems and extract 2D drawings for construction documents. Prerequisite is the Revit Essentials course or commensurate ability in Revit. (3 days)
